I have been a licensed clinical psychologist for 15 years and am a chartered member of both the Psychological Society of Ireland and the American Psychological Association. I have a special interest in working with anxiety and mood disorders, particularly OCD, and within the sphere of health psychology.

Background

After receiving my BA with Honours in Clinical Psychology form University College Dublin, I spent two years living in Cape Town, South Africa, where I received a Postgraduate degree in Psychology from Stellenbosch University and extensive training in community mental health issues. I then worked in Malawi as a research assistant for an NGO assessing HIV prevalence and providing safe-sex education to people in rural communities. After a relocation to L.A. in 2008, I received my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from CSPP Los Angeles. I acted as a supervisor for the Chiron Crisis Response team for several years, going on-scene during crisis situations in the LA area to assist victims and witnesses, while working in a private practice setting at the Saturday Center for Psychotherapy in Santa Monica. I have been living back home in Ireland since 2020 and am currently the National Clinical Psychology Lead with Vhi.
